Japan Inspection Instruments Manufacturers' Association
Chairman
Tsutomu Matsushima
The Japan Inspection Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (JIMA) is the sole domestic association of non-destructive testing equipment manufacturers.
Non-destructive testing employs high-tech sensor technologies such as ultrasonic, magnetic, eddy current, penetrant, radiation, laser and optical methods. It safeguards public safety through maintenance inspections of aircraft, bullet trains, vehicles, nuclear power plants, chemical plants, bridges, tunnels and other critical infrastructure. Furthermore, non-destructive testing plays a significant role in quality control across various manufacturing sectors, supporting Japanese quality and contributing to Japan's economy.
Inspection technology continues to advance with new developments, including the integration of AI. The 13th Japan Inspection Instruments Manufacturers’ Show, due to be held in September 2026 for the first time in two years, will showcase numerous inspection devices equipped with these new technologies. We hope you will take this opportunity to see the cutting edge of non-destructive testing. We aim to contribute to enhanced safety through expanded application, improved inspection accuracy and ultimately higher quality in manufactured products. Products from overseas will be exhibited alongside those from Japan.
Concurrent events, including the International Measurement, Test and Control Technology Show (INTERMEASURE) and Sensor Expo Japan, will also be held. This convergence will provide visitors from diverse fields with extensive information, while offering exhibiting companies valuable business opportunities for new market development and expansion. Technical seminars and an academic corner will also showcase numerous new technologies.
As this is the first event in two years, all participating organizations and committees are united in their efforts to prepare an exhibition that will satisfy everyone. We sincerely hope many of you will exhibit and participate.
Together with the cooperation of exhibitors and attendees alike, we will work to ensure a successful event that brings opportunity to all.
